Liga I is finally resuming

February 16, 2010 Leave a comment

Bad wheather, terrible pitches, nothing will further delay the awaited kick-off of the second half of season. The last official match was Unirea Urziceni – Poli Iasi 2-0 and it was played on December 14. 2010 will start this Firday, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, with the very exciting Otelul Galati – International Curtea de Arges :-).

Although all the 18 teams from the first division made at least one training camp in Turkey, on good pitches, this week is a real nightmare for both coaches and players and they all wonder now what they’ll be able to show on muddy pitches, not only this weekend, but also in the following 3 or 4 rounds…

The Professionall League inspected today all the 9 venues that will host matches this weekend and decided that there is no reason to postpone the start. Only two games remain still in doubt: Pandurii Targu Jiu – Astra Ploiesti and Politehnica Iasi – Rapid, as the home teams will have to clear some debt in order to have their games scheduled!
