Kozak – set to leave Timisoara, Golanski – still waiting for Steaua’s offer

  • After the 3-3 away draw against Steaua, Timisoara’s owner Marian Iancu announced that the club will release the Slovakian midfielder Jan Kozak, brought last winter from Slovan Bratislava. The 30 years old collected his ninth appearance in the Viola outfit last night, featuring as a substitute, and is accused that he’s following only personal goals and not giving 100% to help the team.

Update: As there are a few searches on the net regarding “kozák temešvár salery”, let me say that Kozak would have earned 200.000 Euros until June 2011. 😉

  • Pawel Golanski is still waiting for an offer to extend the deal that will expire in June, but Steaua’s officials are still considering if the Polish full-back deserves this. Although he’s got some quality, the right back has been tormented by injuries and lacked consistency in the years spent in Ghencea, no wonder he cannot force Steaua’s hand with one or two offers already received from other interested clubs in such a player, on a free transfer

I personally would hold on to Kozak and see what he performs like at the WC before I make such statements. Maybe he could be sold for a decent price if he delivers, who knows?
