Gauracs signed for Rapid without passing a medical exam!
- Former FIFA agent Daniel Stanciu was officially appointed as FC Timisoara’s sporting director. Stanciu made a name for himself working for notorious Romanian agents Victor and Ioan Giovani Becali and was looking more and more influential lately, but the move to Timisoara had been announced for a couple of months now and this doesn’t come as such a big surprise anymore.
- Pawel Golanski revealed that Steaua hasn’t made any official offer to extend his current deal, which will expire in June. The Polish full back said that the Bucharest side surprisingly refused an offer from a Russian club this winter and that he probably won’t extend his contract once the season comes to an end. Still, in spite of this situation, Golanski remains Steaua’s first choice at right back, given the club’s inability to bring in quality defenders.
- The Nigerian defender Kasali Yinka Casal, who signed for CFR Cluj this winter, will be offered the chance to play regular football and adjust to the new style and environment at Gaz Metan Medias, where he could move on loan until the end of the season. The two clubs already shook hands, only the player’s decision is expected…
- Rapid is trying to fix an incredible mistake at this level, as the club signed Edgars Gauracs without testing the player from the medical point of view. Now, the Latvian striker has been put through all kinds of tests, after failing to train and play in friendly matches due to some old muscular problems and Rapid is even thinking of making the contract void, as the striker has only been loaned from Ventspils until the summer and he already looks like he’ll be missing at least the first three or four rounds…
